We are pretty excited to let you know that from Monday 18th March until Friday 22nd March, we have the use of 3D digital scanner.
This specialised piece of equipment allows us to generate a digital model of your teeth – so no need to take impressions! It works by using a special type of camera to scan your mouth and only takes about 5 minutes.
Our aim during this week would be to use this technology together with our labs, to help make new and/or replacement crown and bridge work. The scanner is also used in conjunction with adult teeth straightening where we can show you whilst still in the dental chair what your teeth could look like following treatment.
If you’ve ever considered teeth straightening, replacing crowns, need a new bridge but you’re not particularly keen with having impressions taken, then this system may be an option for you. Even if you are comfortable with traditional impression taking methods – you can still use this system.
