Individuals have had a right to information held by public authorities since January 2005. Dentists offering NHS care are listed as a public authority. The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 requires Scottish public authorities to produce and maintain a publication scheme. Authorities are under a legal obligation to:
- publish the classes of information that they make routinely available

Complaints about any aspect of our service?
At Belhaven Dental Surgery we take complaints very seriously indeed and try to ensure that all patients are pleased with their experience of our service. When patients complain, they are dealt with courteously and promptly so that the matter is resolved as quickly as possible. Procedures are in place to deliver on these objectives.
Our aim is to react to complaints in the way in which we would want our complaint about a service to be handled. We learn from every mistake that we make and we respond to patients’ concerns in a caring and sensitive way.
Please contact the practice and we can provide you with our procedure.
